Description
Irises are a genus of about 300 species of flowering plants with showy flowers. They are a very popular garden flower, having many varieties and a rainbow of colors to choose from. They are perennial plants, usually planted from bulbs.
This photo was taken at the Presby Iris Gardens in Montclair, NJ. This garden is a living iris museum of 10,000 plants. People come from all over annually to enjoy its beauty. Normally, the bloom season is from May 14-June 6, however, check their website if you decide to visit to see what would be the optimal time to visit. There is no set admission fee, however, donations are accepted and encouraged to help defray the cost of maintenance of the gardens.
I edited the photo in photoshop to give it a painterly look.
Watermark will NOT appear on purchased product.
