This is a photograph taken this year at a PRCA rodeo at Green Valley Farms in Wantage, NJ. The rider carries on the tradition of bareback bronc riding. Originally, this sport grew from breaking horses by working cowboys. It is now a stylized competition, using horses bred especially for strength and bucking ability.
This won 2nd place at the Sparta Camera Club Expo XXXIII, November 2017
This photo won 3rd place in the action category at the NJ State Fair, August 2017, Augusta, NJ.
